The Bridesmaids

Maid of Honor

Saying that Kate and I "go way back" is a bit of an understatement considering our life-long history. For more than twenty-one years now, she has been my twin, sister, study buddy, counselor and best friend. Some might say that being 'womb-mates' gave Kate an unfair advantage of being picked for this honored position, but really she earned it by being the most true and honest best friend I have ever had. Hanging out pre-conception just adds to all her charms.

Joce is another sister and wonderful friend. She is wildly creative, spunky, eccentric and cool. I feel so lucky to have her around and to have her support on our special day. One day I hope to have her raw enthusiasm and courage. She is so very unique, and has this amazing, dramatic and passionate personality! Her love and genius ideas are going to be invaluable to me during this whole wonderful process.

I absolutely adore this girl.
I often tell this story to Molly, and to me it never gets old, but her effect on my life feels quite like waking up after sleeping with a hanger in your mouth all night. My jaw and abs literally ache with pain from the laughter and joy she brightens up my days with.
Mollyanne and I are basically sisters, she's definitely been there with me through it all, and not only to help me through it, but to get down and dirty and battle it with me.
As my only married 'maid, I'm hoping to get the skinny on all her tips and tricks of the whole "Mrs." business! I'm so glad she's going to be there to help me do this!

Diana and I became friends our sophomore year in the nursing program at University of San Francisco. Her and I became an instant pair when we discovered we both loved nursing, traveling, hiking and camping, great vegetarian food and late night study sessions. Diana is also wonderfully creative, it should be noted that if you see anything funky, beautiful and handmade at the wedding, this girl is probably to blame. She is also one of the nicest people I know, any one would be 100 times blessed to have as great of a friend as Diana.

Miss Aggie is truly a wonderful human being. Her and I met on the Rugby field my Senior year at USF, we were quick to find out that we both not only love tackling and rucking on the field, but also salad, hiking, burritos, being outdoors, Indian food, partying, potatoes and Tequila. Aggie is also hilarious, and we love having a great time. More than anyone else, it is a fact that Aggie will make sure that the wedding is going to be a blast.

p.s. (hahaha, yes, that's right ... AGGIE)

Danielle is my beautiful friend, dating way back to elementary school. We met, in fact, around the same time Seth and I met, when I transferred to their school in the 5th grade. Currently, Dani and I are finishing up nursing school together, albeit in two schools that are way too far apart. Despite of the distance, Danielle and I always kept in touch and over the phone and through email we empathized with each other the struggle and joy that is nursing school. She is amazingly organized and thoughtful, I'm hoping I can vicariously live through her planner and we can pull this wedding off without a hitch!

There are so many wonderful things to say about Amanda, I almost don't know where to start! First of all, she has the most amazing laugh! It's utterly contagious, it's honest and it's so freakin' adorable! I swear if I were in a room of a hundred people, let's say we're at a comedy bar (everyone's laughing), with my eyes closed I could pinpoint exactly where Amanda was sitting. I would bet money on it even though we've been separated through most of our college years! One of my favorite memories, Kate, Mollyanne, Joselyn and I are hanging out laughing for hours, probably just about nothing at all, laughing just to laugh.
What I most admire about Amanda now though, is that she is a very passionate and humble person. She takes risks, she sticks to her guns, and she pulls through and is transforming into an amazing woman. I know she's going to do amazing things. (Hopefully starting with pulling together an awesome wedding!)
Amanda is the perfect example that 'old' friends are Gold friends. I'll never forget how kind and giving she was back in high school, and I also know some things will never change :)
